I’m very pleased with Eco Ottawa’s handling of my job to replace six of my 65-year-old windows. The owner Shane was very concerned with meeting my needs and helped me to match the colour and style of my existing windows. The windows and installation were so well-priced that I was able to replace more windows than I originally thought. The installation team of Daniel and Alec were polite and worked very efficiently, taking care to protect my floors and clean everything up afterwards. Their caulking job is the smoothest I’ve ever seen! My new vinyl windows do not require painting and open up easily for cleaning. No more storm windows and putting up plastic every winter. Once I save up to replace the rest of my old windows, I’ll be calling Eco Ottawa again!

Shane and his team recently replaced our old tired and worn roof with BP Fiberglass Roof Shingles. They did an incredible job and Shane was on site before, during, and after for a complete walkthrough of each stage of the project. Our old roof stood out for its tired old state, and now it stands out above other recent roofing jobs. The attention to flashing around our skylights, chimney and especially the clean up was second to none. We worked with Shane to add special details on ice/water shield where we had problems in the past and got great expert advice and workmanship. I would recommend Shane and his team to any of my clients. Being in the Home Inspection Business, I’m very picky and expect great work. A professional owner and crew who treated our home like it was their own.

We had all 10 windows replaced, some with major rotting/insulation issues, added two brand new windows on our main floor and enlarged one window in a basement office, completely changing the feel of the room. Shane (owner) made the process easy from start to finish! He prepared a detailed estimate that was competitive (we weren’t looking for the cheapest), answered our many questions, and provided a quality product.
The gentleman that led the team that worked on our house was amazing!! It was obvious he cared about their work, and proactively sought me out to show and explain what they were doing, double checking what it is we wanted, cleaning up after themselves and making sure we were happy with the work at the day’s end. They also made sure to put runners down everywhere so as not to dirty the floor.
Once the entire project was finished, Shane came and did a walk-around our entire house, making sure everything was perfect – down to the handles folding in perfectly! And these things should be a no brainer but our experience with other contractors proves it isn’t – Shane and his team were polite, showed up on time and professional. I am a very picky client who researches a lot and has high expectations and I would highly recommend working with Shane at Eco Ottawa!

I just recently replaced 6 windows on my house and after getting over 8 quotes from different companies in the Ottawa/Gatineau area we selected Eco Ottawa Windows and doors due to there outstanding detail to customer needs. In terms of the windows themselves, we can already feel and hear the difference. The triple paned windows in the bedroom are a godsend, and all the windows are clearly far superior to the old ones in terms of insulating the house and keeping in the heat. We have recently completed the installation of almost all the windows in our home, the installation of a new gable vent, the installation of aluminum clad around our garage and the installation of a new front door. From the day we walked into Eco Windows and Doors’ Westboro offices to the date the work was completed, Shane and his contractors provided a seamless, professional and positive experience. Shane took the time to sit down with Michele to review décor options, communicated with us in a timely and responsive manner to deal with all our concerns, and provided plenty of notice in advance of our installation.
Shane’s installers were polite, friendly and professional. Their workmanship was outstanding. They took pride in their workmanship. They worked cleanly and with proper respect for our home and did more than I expected in terms of making sure I was happy with the work they did.

The moment my sister came back home on the day we had our windows replaced by Eco Ottawa Windows and Doors, she exclaimed, “It’s so warm in here!” Indeed having your old windows replaced is something you can feel even before you see the bright shiny glass panes. I’m glad that I made the decision to have this renovation project done before the peak season comes – I have not only enjoyed a warmer house at no extra energy cost, but also avoided the long waiting time I’d expect to get in summer. But I wouldn’t even know that such renovation jobs can be done in winter before I consulted with Shane.
Shane is very professional. He patiently explained the differences between various products and helped me to choose the right windows instead of the most expensive ones. He and his Technicians also offered useful tips for the care of the windows and accessaries. The job was done beautifully — the rooms were clean and tidy after the installation, as careful measures had been taken to keep the floor and furniture from being stained even on snowy muddy days, and the price for the project was reasonable.
